Bronchitis

Since having this for more then 2 weeks now and going to Helen with it how long will it be before I can get back on my bike? I mean, right now I feel like I'm going backwards with everything. I'm to the point where I might just pull the plug and give up. Everytime I think I'm feeling better, I feel worse. I haven't worked in a week. I might just be stressing but how do you bounce back from this? Theres no way I can race this sunday at the Wheelmen race, that blows. Hillsboro is coming up fast and thats a 29 mile loop done twice...I'm done.....

It's going to take a while to get back. Were they able to get you some antibiotics (assuming it's bacterial)? One of the problems is that we always want to come back too fast and then we wind up not actually recovering and the illness lingers on. It might be too late for the early spring races, but remember, we'll still be racing in July, August, into September, and it is definitely not too late for those races. I'd recommend choosing a late July or August race and make that your "A" race for the year and then we can reboot and focus on that.

Hang in there!

Today was the 1st day I was at work and did it feel good. Yep, docs got me on Amoxicillin 500mg. Feeling alot better. I'm out this weekend for the SCW race in Joliet, but I plan on racing at Hillsboro. I've got 2 weeks to prepare which isn't much, but I can't take it any more. I plan on riding on monday, but nothing to hard. Just to see how I feel. Monsters of the Midway was gonna be an "A" race for me, but I'll play it by how i recover. Thanks Coach.....:)
